The Fluke 1662 multifunction installation tester is designed to verify the safety of electrical installations in domestic, commercial, and industrial applications. It quickly and efficiently ensures that fixed wiring meets the requirements of IEC 60364 and relevant local standards, protecting both workers and connected appliances.

The 1662 offers a comprehensive range of measurement functions including TRMS voltage (AC/DC) and frequency, wiring polarity checking (detects broken PE and N wires), insulation resistance at 100, 250, 500, and 1000V, continuity and resistance testing suitable for motor windings, loop and line resistance, prospective earth fault current (PEFC/IK), prospective short-circuit current (PSC/IK), RCD trip time and ramp current testing, and phase sequence testing. The RCD test simultaneously measures trip time and current for Type A and AC RCDs in one test, with variable test current and automatic test sequence available.

The Auto Test function performs five required installation tests in one sequence, including selectable Type A, AC and RCD Auto Test, ensuring compliance with local regulations while reducing manual connections, test time, and potential errors. The instrument features an on/off switchable auto-start for RCD and Loop tests, time and date recording capability with optional FlukeView software, and an IP40 rated housing.
