Product Description

The Optris CThot infrared temperature sensor is designed for high-temperature environments. It can endure ambient temperatures up to 482°F without the need for additional cooling. It is suitable for applications in dryers, ovens, heat treatment lines for metal and glass, and semiconductor processing. The sensor includes D06ACCTMHS massive housing to stabilize measurements in applications with significant and short-term variations in ambient temperatures .

The sensor covers a temperature range of -40 to 1787°F with ±1% or ±2.7°F accuracy. It has a spectral range of 8 to 14µm and is available with 2:1 or 10:1 optical resolution. Response time is 100ms. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.1 to 1.1 .

Selectable analog outputs and multiple digital interfaces offer high variability. Field selectable analog output options include 0/4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, and type K or J thermocouples. The sensor includes a programmable functional input for setting external emissivity, ambient temperature compensation, and reset of hold functions. It also features peak hold, valley hold, average, and an extended hold function with threshold and hysteresis. USB, RS485, RS232 interface, 2 optically isolated relay outputs, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, and Ethernet available with plug-in options .

The Optris Compact Connect temperature analysis software is available as a free download. The sensor operates on 8-36 VDC power supply with 100mA max current draw, is IP65 NEMA-4 rated, and available in 3, 8, or 15m cable lengths .
