Product Description

The Optris CT 4M infrared temperature sensor is designed for high-speed, low-temperature measurements. Due to its short measuring wavelength and a temperature range from 32 to 932°F (0 to 500°C), the CT 4M is ideally suited for measuring the temperature of metals, metal oxides, ceramics, or materials with unknown or changing emissivity. The quick response time of only 300 µs along with the ultra-fast 90 µs exposure time allows for problem-free use in fast processes .

The miniaturized head is just 14 mm (diameter) x 28 mm (length), allowing it to fit almost anywhere. The short wavelength range of 2.2 – 6 µm makes it suitable for measurement of metals, metal oxides, ceramics or materials with unknown or changing emissivity. Accuracy is ±(0.3% of reading + 2°C), with repeatability ±(0.1% of reading + 1°C) .

The electronics box allows a flexible terminal device through selectable analog outputs as well as various optional digital interfaces. The sensor can be used up to 158°F (70°C) without cooling, and is IP65 (NEMA-4) rated .
