The Model C-LB45-A turbine flow meter is designed to withstand the rigorous demands of the most remote flow measurement applications. The Model C-LB45-A flow meter maintains measurement accuracy and mechanical integrity in expeditionary environments from the Arctic to the desert or tropical regions of the world. This flow meter has been fitted with a protective roll cage and cam lock fittings for service as a tactical fuels flow meter with ±0.5% volumetric accuracy. This meter is intended for use with Jet A, Jet A1, JP 5, JP8, DF1, DF2, and DF4 fuels.

The tactical fuels flow meter comes in three sizes. The C-LB45-A006-MIL has 2" cam lock fittings, flow rate 5-250 GPM, weighs 20 pounds, and has a single display with reset key. The C-LB45-A009-MIL has 4" cam lock fittings, flow rate 50-900 GPM, weighs 43 pounds, and has dual display with single reset key. The C-LB45-A010-MIL has 6" cam lock fittings, flow rate 50-900 GPM, weighs 73 pounds, and has dual display with single reset key.

Only four tools are required to service the meter: a small Phillips screwdriver, a small flat blade screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and a 7/16" wrench. The rugged 316 stainless steel meter body and carbon steel roll cage provide durability in harsh environments. The operating principle involves fluid passing through an inlet flow straightener, spinning a turbine at speed proportional to flow, generating AC voltage pulses from a magnetic pickoff.
