Product Description

The Kobold EPS magmeter measures flow using the electromagnetic principle, where voltage induced in a conductive liquid is proportional to flow velocity. The measurement is not affected by pressure, temperature, density, or viscosity. However, solid particles and small gas bubbles should be avoided for optimal performance .

The UMF2 transmitter is housed in painted, die-cast aluminum and features empty pipe detection and coil current monitoring diagnostics. It has electromagnetic tolerance in accordance with EMC directive (2014/30/EU). Output signals are galvanically isolated up to 24V and 60mA. The transmitter provides passive pulse and status outputs, and an active analog 4-20mA output with optional HART protocol .

The sensor offers a 0.5 to 10 m/s measuring range with high accuracy of ±0.3% of measured value and repeatability of ±0.15%. It can be integral or remote mounted to the UMF2 transmitter. Lining options include EPDM, soft rubber, hard rubber, PTFE, or ceramic to suit various process conditions. Minimum conductivity requirement is 5 μS/cm, or 20 μS/cm for demineralized water. The system is rated IP67 as standard, with IP68 optional for remote-mounted configurations .
