The Comepi MT2A22-024 is a safety relay with integrated time delay functionality, specifically engineered to address a critical safety challenge in industrial machinery: the presence of hazardous motion that persists for a defined period after a stop command has been issued. In applications such as high-speed saws, centrifuges, or injection molding machines, simply cutting power does not immediately eliminate danger—rotating blades may coast, pressure may need to bleed off, or temperature may require time to dissipate. The MT2A22-024 solves this by providing both instantaneous safety outputs to cut power immediately, and delayed safety outputs that remain open for an adjustable 0-30 second period, ensuring that protective guards or access doors remain locked until the hazard has truly subsided.
