The ESPE ESRS-2A1B-E is a high-reliability safety relay module specifically designed for monitoring emergency stop buttons and safety door switches in industrial automation environments. As part of the ESR series safety relay family, it provides a cost-effective and compliant solution for machine safeguarding applications that require Category 4 and Performance Level e (PLe) safety integrity according to EN ISO 13849-1 standard.

The ESRS-2A1B-E features a dual-channel input design that accepts passive contact signals from emergency stop pushbuttons and interlock safety doors. It incorporates redundant safety circuits and comprehensive self-diagnosis functions to detect internal faults and ensure fail-safe operation. The module supports both automatic and manual reset modes, which can be configured via terminal wiring to meet different application requirements. It also includes built-in input overvoltage protection and power supply reverse polarity protection to prevent damage from incorrect wiring.

The safety relay provides two normally open (NO) safety outputs and one normally closed (NC) auxiliary output with forced-guided contacts, ensuring reliable disconnection in the event of a fault. The contacts have a rating of 5A at 250V AC (AC15) and 6A at 24V DC (DC13), suitable for controlling most industrial contactors and actuators.
