The CI-400A series by CAS is a family of digital panel-mount weighing indicators and controllers built for filling, packaging, and batching machines where fast weight processing and relay control are needed in a compact panel cutout. The A/D converter digitises load cell signals at up to 320 samples per second — fast enough to catch the weight increase during high-speed liquid or granular filling and trigger valve closure at the right moment. RFI/EMI shielding ensures stable readings in production environments with nearby VFDs and contactors.

How do the three CI-400A models differ?

The CI-401A is a weight indicator with 4 external inputs — suitable as a basic panel display for platform and truck scales. The CI-405A adds 6 relay outputs and 8 digital inputs with dedicated filling modes: upper/lower limit, packaging mode, check-weighing, and auto-tare packer — covering single and dual-speed fill applications on one machine. The CI-407A extends this with loss-in-weight batching, multi-stage discharge sequences, and multi-input programmable relay logic — designed for hopper and tank batching systems where the weigh vessel empties during each cycle. All models share the same 185 × 103 × 92 mm form factor with 103 mm panel depth.
