The KEP DRT (Dual Rate Totalizer) is a versatile 1/8 DIN panel-mount instrument that combines dual ratemeters and totalizers into a single package. It accepts two separate pulse inputs (A and B), each with its own independent scaling factor to read directly in engineering units. The instrument can handle input frequencies up to 10 kHz and is sensitive enough for 30 mV magnetic pickup inputs, making it compatible with a wide range of flow meters and sensors.

A key feature of the DRT is its ability to create a third calculated value, "C", from the two inputs. The user can configure C to display A+B (sum), A-B (difference), A÷B (ratio x100 for percentage), or A÷[A+B] (percentage of A to total). The user can then cycle the display to view the rate and total for A, B, and C individually via the front panel VIEW button.

The DRT comes standard with two independent presets (alarm outputs). Output A can be triggered by the total or rate of input A or the selected C value, while output B can be triggered by input B or the selected C value. Outputs can be set for latching or auto-recycle modes with adjustable duration. Optional communication includes Modbus RTU over RS-422, RS-485, or RS-232. The front panel is rated NEMA 4X / IP65 for use in washdown or dusty environments.
