Product Description
The SK9001I is a self-contained access control unit with an integrated Mifare (13.56 MHz) proximity reader, designed for insertion into Comelit iKall and ViP series entrance panels. It stores up to 1,400 user badges and 1,000 event logs onboard — no dedicated PC or network connection is required for day-to-day operation. A 5 A dry-contact relay with an adjustable 1–99 second timer drives electric door locks or automatic gates directly.
How does standalone operation work without a PC?
Initialization is performed by presenting the first token to a blank unit — this locks the module to a specific building or site code. Subsequent user badges are auto-enrolled on first presentation. Onboard DIP switches and push buttons handle all local parameter settings: relay timer duration, programming mode, and system reset. A PC is only needed for advanced configuration via the SK9091 USB encoder and SimpleKey Advanced software.
How does multi-building networking function?
Up to 30 SK9001I units can be interconnected via RS485 to form a multi-building access control system without running door wiring between buildings. Each module is assigned a unique building code. Tokens can be programmed for single-building access, multi-building access, or a Main Site Door mode that accepts all site-wide tokens. Pass-through transmitters enable primary and secondary door management within each building.
What tokens and accessories are compatible?
The SK9001I reads Comelit SK9050, SK9051, and SK9052 electronic key fobs and cards. An optional SK9053 transfer token retrieves stored event logs for PC analysis via the USB encoder. The module requires an external power supply such as the 1200UL (12–24 V AC/DC) and mounts into standard Comelit panel cutouts at 62 × 88 × 23 mm.
