Product Description
The Mastip GTV8 is an integrated sequential valve gate control system for hot runner injection molds. It independently times the opening and closing of up to 8 pneumatic valve gate pins to control the melt-front as it fills the cavity, enabling molders to reposition or eliminate weld lines, reduce peak clamping force, and balance filling across multi-gate parts.
How do the two sequencing modes work?
The GTV8 offers two selectable operating modes per zone. In Continuous Sequence mode, the gate opens after a user-set delay time elapses and remains open until the injection signal ends — suitable for sequential filling where the gate stays open through the full fill and pack cycle. In Intermittent Sequence mode, the gate remains closed during the delay period, opens for a defined pulse duration, then closes and stays closed even if injection continues — useful for precise shot-size control from individual gates or staged filling of complex geometries.
How many zones can the GTV8 control?
The GTV8 handles up to 8 pneumatic valve gates, each with independent delay and open-time settings. The controller connects to a pneumatic solenoid pack via an international-standard interface, distributing the electrical timing signals to the corresponding solenoid valves that actuate each gate pin. A manual override switch on each zone allows the mold setter to open individual gates during setup, purging, or troubleshooting without running the full sequence.
What input and output signals does the GTV8 use?
The controller accepts an injection start signal from the molding machine — either DC 24 V or AC 220 V — and uses this as the timing reference for all zone sequences. Mains power input is 220 V AC single-phase, 50/60 Hz. Each zone outputs a 100 mA solenoid drive signal at single voltage. The unit is rated for operation in ambient temperatures from -10 °C to +50 °C, suitable for most molding shop environments.
