Product Description
The Beijer Electronics G-Series (powered by Crevis) is a sophisticated modular remote terminal unit (RTU) and distributed I/O system designed to provide maximum flexibility in modern automation architectures. With its "slice-based" design, the G-Series allows engineers to precisely match I/O requirements, reducing both cabinet space and hardware costs.

Versatile Communication Adapters
The system is built around a network adapter that serves as the brain of the node. Whether your infrastructure relies on Modbus TCP via Ethernet or Modbus RTU via RS-485, the G-Series offers compatible head stations. It also supports high-speed industrial networks such as EtherCAT and PROFINET, making it an ideal choice for high-performance motion control or simple sensor data logging. The auto-scan feature simplifies commissioning by automatically detecting the connected I/O slices.
High-Density Slice I/O
The G-Series offers a comprehensive range of modules, including digital inputs/outputs, analog signals (Voltage/Current), RTD and Thermocouple inputs, and specialized modules for power measurement or serial communication. This high density—often providing up to 16 channels per slice—ensures that even complex systems remain compact. The hot-swappable nature of many modules (depending on the base) minimizes downtime during maintenance.
Industrial Grade Reliability
- Extended Operating Temperature: Reliable performance from -25°C up to +60°C.
- Galvanic Isolation: Protects the internal logic from external field electrical noise and surges.
- Diagnostic LEDs: Local status indicators for each I/O channel and network communication health.
- Easy Wiring: Push-in spring terminals reduce installation time and prevent wire loosening due to vibration.
Typical Applications
- Distributed I/O for X2 series HMIs and CODESYS controllers
- Building Management Systems (BMS) for HVAC and lighting control
- Remote monitoring for water treatment and pumping stations
- Factory automation with decentralized sensor clusters
