The GIC PL-100 is a compact, modular programmable logic controller designed for versatile industrial automation applications. It supports up to 112 I/Os through expansion modules, making it suitable for small to medium-scale control tasks. The base module provides 8 isolated digital inputs with sourcing and sinking capability, along with 8 transistorized digital outputs available in low-side or high-side driver configurations. The system can be stacked using FRC cable with up to six expansion modules, which include options for additional digital inputs, relay outputs, transistor outputs, and analog I/O (0-10 V / 4-20 mA).

Communication is handled through a standard RS-232/RS-485 port with RJ11 connector, supporting the Modbus RTU protocol in both master and slave modes. This enables seamless integration with HMIs, SCADA systems, and other industrial devices. Programming is accomplished via a USB connection using the free PL-Soft Pro software, which provides a complete development environment with ladder diagram programming, online and offline simulation, and real-time monitoring capabilities.

The PL-100 includes a rich library of function blocks that accelerate application development. These include 128 weekly, monthly, and yearly time switches, multiple timers, counters (including retentive counters), and hour meters. For motion and high-speed applications, the controller supports high-speed inputs with single or quadrature counting modes and high-speed outputs for PTO, PWM, and S-Profile motion profiles. A physical RUN/STOP switch is provided for manual control. The compact DIN-rail mountable design and 24V DC power supply make the PL-100 a practical choice for a wide range of industrial control applications.
