Product Description
The UMOTO HCFA HCA1P is a compact PLC from Zhejiang HCFA Technology's A-series of simple controllers, designed for OEM machinery and standalone automation tasks. It delivers essential control functions with enhanced reliability and a 10% cost-performance improvement over previous generations. The series features a redesigned CPU and power board architecture, a new vibration-resistant connector, and transistor outputs rated with significant headroom at 200V/1.5A. Inputs are natively compatible with both NPN and PNP sensors, simplifying inventory and wiring.
The controller provides a 2k-step EEPROM program memory that can be written during RUN, and supports an optional memory cassette for program transfer. Basic instruction execution speed is 0.5 to 0.7 microseconds, with LD instructions executing in just 20 nanoseconds. An integrated real-time clock enables time-based control and event logging. The system includes 512 auxiliary relays, 64 timers, and 32 general-purpose 16-bit counters.
For motion control applications, the HCA1P includes two axes of 100kHz high-speed pulse output for precise positioning of stepper or servo drives. Built-in high-speed counters support 60kHz on two channels and 10kHz on four channels in single-phase mode, with two-phase 30kHz and 5kHz options also available. Communication is handled via RS485/RS422 interfaces supporting the Modbus RTU protocol in both master and slave modes. An optional Ethernet communication board can be added for networking, and the controller supports right-side expansion for additional I/O modules as well as BD board expansion for analog input/output.
The HCA1P operates on either AC 100-240V or DC 24V power supplies and mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail. It carries an IP20 protection rating and operates reliably in ambient temperatures from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The PCBA features a conformal coating for enhanced durability, and the design meets EFT 2KV immunity standards for electromagnetic compatibility.
The HCA1P series is ideal for simple machine control, packaging equipment, material handling, and OEM applications where cost-effective, reliable automation is the primary requirement.
