The Delta DVP-ES2/EX2 series is an economical and highly functional compact PLC designed for basic sequential control applications. Building upon the success of the DVP-ES series, the ES2/EX2 series offers enhanced performance, larger program capacity, and a wealth of built-in features, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of industrial automation tasks. At the heart of the DVP-ES2/EX2 series is a high-speed processor capable of executing basic instructions in as little as 0.35 μs. This ensures rapid response times for time-critical applications. The controller provides a substantial program capacity of 16k steps, allowing for complex control logic and extensive use of function blocks. Additionally, it features 10k words of data registers, providing ample space for data storage and manipulation. High-Speed I/O and Motion Control

It is equipped with 8 high-speed input points, with 2 points capable of 100kHz and 6 points of 10kHz, supporting U/D, U/D Dir, and A/B counting modes. For motion control, it offers 4 independent high-speed pulse outputs: Y0 and Y2 support up to 100kHz, while Y1 and Y3 support up to 10kHz. New motion control instructions, including closed-loop control, alignment mark, shield, immediate variable speed, and S-curve acceleration/deceleration, empower precise and flexible motion profiles.

Communication and Analog Integration

Communication flexibility is a key strength of the DVP-ES2/EX2 series. It features three built-in communication ports: one RS-232 and two RS-485 ports. All three ports can operate independently and support the MODBUS ASCII/RTU protocol in both master and slave modes, enabling seamless integration with HMIs, SCADA systems, and other industrial devices. The DVP-EX2 models further enhance this capability with built-in 12-bit analog I/O (4 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs). Both ES2 and EX2 models can be expanded with 14-bit analog and temperature modules for more demanding process control applications. The series also includes handy instructions for controlling Delta's AC motor drives, simplifying drive integration.
