The AEMC Models 4620 and 4630 are digital ground resistance testers performing both ground resistance and soil resistivity tests. They measure from 0 to 2000Ω with auto-ranging, making them ideal for maintenance crews performing numerous tests.

The large 3/4" LCD displays measurement values and indicates low battery, overrange, test lead shorts, and lead reversals. Three LEDs warn of high input noise, high auxiliary rod resistance, or fault connections. Both models are fuse protected to >250 V AC and withstand system faults up to 150 V AC with spikes to 3000 V AC. The Model 4620 is battery powered with eight C cells, while the 4630 uses a rechargeable NiMH battery with built-in charger. Both exceed IEC mechanical and safety specifications.
