The VAL.CO MULTISIGNAL VLC.602 is a universal programmable signal processor designed to interface with virtually any industrial sensor or transmitter. Originally developed for continuous level sensors with potentiometric output, it has evolved into a multi-signal platform accepting 4-20mA current loops, 0-10V voltage, potentiometric inputs from 500Ω to 20kΩ, and frequency signals from 0.1Hz to 10kHz. This flexibility allows a single panel-mounted unit to serve as level indicator, flow totaliser, pressure monitor, or temperature display across different process points.

Display and Operator Interface

The VLC.602 features a 16-digit backlit LCD with simultaneous digital readout and analog bargraph (0–100%). Programmable engineering units — including %, L, m³, Pa, kPa, °C, °F, and flow rates such as L/min and m³/h — let operators read measurements directly in process terms. All programming is digital via the front-panel interface; there are no trimmer potentiometers to drift or require recalibration.

Alarm and Control Outputs

Two SPDT alarm relays (6A at 230VAC) are standard, expandable to six. Each relay threshold is individually adjustable across the full measuring range, with configurable hysteresis and red LED status indication per relay. This makes the VLC.602 suitable for multi-level pump control, high/low alarm annunciation, and simple on/off control loops without an external PLC.

Signal Retransmission and Communication

An isolated 4-20mA or 0-10V analog output retransmits the measured value to SCADA systems, chart recorders, or remote displays. The built-in RS-232-C serial port with ANSI protocol enables data logging and remote configuration. A signal linearization function — useful for horizontal cylindrical tanks and other non-linear vessels — is included as standard.
