The KROHNE H250-F variable area flow meter is an all-metal instrument designed specifically for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Combining sanitary design elements with numerous display, communication and other options, the H250-F is a reliable and versatile instrument ideal for measuring the flow of liquids, gases and saturated steam in hygienic applications. KROHNE H250-F variable area flow meters are available in sizes from 1/2" to 2" with corresponding flow rates ranging from as low as 0.47 gph (0.026 scfm for gases) to as high 4227 gph (217 scfm). The basic accuracy for flow readings is an excellent ±1.6%. Due to its sturdy, all-metal construction, the H250-F ensures high resistance to pressure, temperature and media.

The KROHNE H250-F variable area flowmeter is EHEDG-certified and features smooth stainless steel surfaces. Parts in contact with the medium have a surface roughness of less than 0.8 µm, making it difficult for deposits to stick as well as easy to clean. Combined with a design devoid of dead spaces and stagnation zones, microorganisms cannot stick and multiply. The H250-F can be cleaned (CIP) and sterilized (SIP) while intact. The meter is available with suitable connections and FDA conforming materials for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

The KROHNE H250-F is available with the M9 or M10 indicator options. The M9 indicator provides simple, low-cost installation without auxiliary power, large scale readability, 2 limit switches (NAMUR or 3-wire transistor), 2-wire analog output 4 to 20mA with HART - Profibus PA interface, optional 6-digit flow counter, and optional stainless steel housing for corrosive atmospheres. The M10 digital indicator features 2 limit switches, 2-wire analog output 4 to 20mA with HART, 12-digit flow counter with pulse output and reset input, and pressure resistant enclosed housing. Both are available with ATEX, FM, CSA approvals for use in hazardous areas and SIL 2 certification.
