Product Description
The Optris CT P3 infrared temperature sensor has a spectral range of 3.43µm for exact temperature measurements of thin plastic films such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or polystyrene. It has a temperature range of 122 to 752°F and functions in ambient temperatures up to 167°F without additional cooling. The sensor includes D06ACCTMHS massive housing to stabilize measurements in applications with significant and short-term variations in ambient temperatures .
The sensor features a 10:1 optical resolution, 100ms response time, and emissivity adjustable from 0.1 to 1.1. Accuracy is ±1% or ±2.7°F typical .
Selectable analog outputs and multiple digital interfaces offer high variability. Field selectable analog output options include 0/4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, type K or J thermocouples, and alarm. The sensor includes a programmable functional input for setting external emissivity, ambient temperature compensation, and reset of hold functions. It also features peak hold, valley hold, average, and an extended hold function with threshold and hysteresis .
Optional plug-in interfaces include USB, RS485, RS232, 2 optically isolated relay outputs, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, and Ethernet. The sensor operates on 8-36 VDC power supply with 100mA max current draw, is IP65 NEMA-4 rated, and available in 3 or 8m cable lengths. The Optris Compact Connect software is available as a free download .
