Product Description
The Endress+Hauser RLN22 is a highly compact NAMUR isolating amplifier designed for transmission and galvanic 3-way isolation of binary switch signals in space-constrained industrial panels. With a width of just 12.5mm, it significantly reduces DIN rail requirements while delivering full functionality for two independent channels.
The RLN22 accepts inputs from NAMUR proximity sensors or point level switches such as the Liquiphant FTL51B. The output is a relay contact, with direction of action configurable via internal DIP switches. Line fault detection monitors for circuit faults and mechanical switching contact integrity; if a fault is detected, the relay automatically de-energizes for fail-safe operation.
Optional certifications include SIL2 for safety-instrumented systems and hazardous area approvals (ATEX, IECEx) for Zone 2 environments. The RLN22 can be installed in vertical or horizontal orientations, and additional options include a secondary power supply and group error messaging via DIN rail bus connector.
