Product Description
The PIE 820-Elite is a high-performance multifunction process calibrator that performs the work of eight single-function calibrators, designed for technicians and engineers who require the best tools. This elite version of the popular PIE 820 offers greater resolution, more ranges, patented current leak detection, and standards lab accuracy, making it one of the highest performing calibrators on the market .
The 820-Elite integrates multiple calibration functions into one handheld device. It serves as a milliamp calibrator for 4-20 mA loop troubleshooting with built-in 24V power supply and 250Ω HART resistor, a voltage calibrator for millivolt and pH signals, and a frequency calibrator for flow and vibration systems with ±0.005% accuracy. It also functions as a thermocouple calibrator supporting 14 types including Platinel II, an RTD and resistance calibrator supporting Platinum (3850, 3902, 3916, 3926), Copper (10, 50Ω), and Nickel (100, 120Ω) sensors, and a pH simulator (0.000 to 14.000 pH at 25°C) for verifying pH devices before probe insertion .
Unique features include a built-in current leak detector (patented technology US 7,248,058) to identify ground current leakage from faulty wiring or corrosion, and a continuity checker for troubleshooting connections. The intuitive EZ-DIAL Double Click Menu system uses the same menus as single-function PIE calibrators, with icons on the display indicating where to plug in test leads. Users can store any three output settings for instant recall using the EZ-CHECK switch, with automatic stepping (2, 3, 5, 11 steps in 100%, 50%, 25%, or 10% of span) and ramping functions with selectable step/ramp times from 5 to 60 seconds .
Additional capabilities include pressure measurement with optional modules (32 modules for gauge, differential, compound, and absolute pressure), and instant recall of MAX and MIN values to see process variability.
