The Optris CSmicro LT / LTH infrared temperature sensor features a miniaturized stainless steel measuring head that is suited for installation in limited spaces. With dimensions of M12x1 and only 28mm long, it is one of the smallest industrial IR sensors available. The size and its temperature resistance up to 356°F (180°C) make the mechanical integration of the measuring head especially cost-efficient .

The sensor covers a wide temperature range of -58 to 1886°F (-50 to 1030°C) with ±1.0% accuracy. It is available with different optical resolutions: 22:1 (LT22H), 15:1 (LT15/LT15H), and 2:1 (LT02), allowing measurement of targets at various distances. Response times are 14ms for LT models and 150ms for LTH models .

The LED display works as an alarm signal, target support, temperature-code display, and self-diagnosis. The electric components inside the cable allow for high-temperature resistance of the measuring head. The CSmicro series can be operated via the new IR mobile App for Android, enabling monitoring and analyzing infrared temperature measurements on a connected smartphone or tablet .

Two output versions are available: CSMV models provide 0-5V or 0-10V output, while CSMA models provide 4-20mA output (2-wire). The sensor's stainless steel housing and IP65 rating ensure reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. It is ideal for applications where space is limited and high temperature resistance is required .
