The MRU OPTIMAX Biogas Analyzer can simultaneously measure up to 7 gas components. The biogas measurements include O2, H2S, CH4, and CO2 (using infrared sensors for CO2/CH4). The emissions measurements include O2, CO, NO, NO2, and CO2. Optional gas measurements are available for H2S (0-2,000 ppm, 5,000 ppm overload), CO (0-4,000 ppm, 20,000 ppm overload), NO (0-1,000 ppm, 5,000 ppm overload), and NO2 (0-200 ppm, 1,000 ppm overload) .

The biogas and engine exhaust models include all combustion calculations and automatic measurement with user-specific adjustable determination of average value storing on SD card. These models also add a gas sampling probe for exhaust gas emission monitoring with 9ft Viton hose, 12in probe tube, and heat deflector .

The landfill model provides gas flow velocity measurement capability using a Pitot tube. It includes a US landfill gas probe with K-Type thermocouple input, Type K thermocouple, and transport case. All landfill models include a spare part set. Landfill models with H2S gas measurement option also include an HC "sniffer" for gas leakage detection, AUX universal auxiliary port for external gas sniffer, and auto data logging function .

The analyzer features biogas pressure measurement of 0 to ±300mbar, a 4in TFT display with LED backlight, integrated SD card reader for data storage and transfer, and multiple interfaces including dual Bluetooth (Biogas and Engine Exhaust models only), IRDA for high-speed thermal printer, Mini-USB for PC data transfer, and WLAN. It is powered by a high energy Li-Ion battery providing up to 15 hours operation .
