The portable COSA Xentaur XPDM dew point meter is a battery-operated, hand-held dew point transmitter designed for applications where quick and accurate dew point measurements have to be made. It quickly and easily provides accurate spot-checks of moisture in gases over the range of -148 to 68°F (-100 to 20°C) dew point.

The XPDM features Xentaur HTF aluminum oxide sensors. Due to hyper-thin film and special activation process, these sensors offer significant performance advantages over other aluminum oxide moisture sensors including better sensitivity, better repeatability, and faster response times. The measurement system is less prone to noise and drift, with minimal signal conditioning. Xentaur sensors are interchangeable, waterproof, and can be field calibrated anytime without expensive calibration standards.

Features include a simple, menu-driven user interface with digital LCD display and 4 push buttons; user-selectable engineering units; and a pressure correct function. The XPDM is powered by a 9V battery which lasts up to 100 hours of continuous operation. An automatic shutoff feature conserves battery life. It can also be equipped with an external power supply jack and signal output board, operating from 15-20 V AC/DC or a car battery adapter. All signal outputs are isolated from the sensor. The analog output can be current or voltage, and the RS-232 output can be easily connected to a PC or modem.

An intrinsically safe version is available for hazardous area applications.
