The 6SL3520-1XH24-0AA0 is the hardwired-I/O variant of the G115D 4 kW FSB distributed drive. Electrically identical to its PROFINET sibling (6SL3520-1XH24-0AF0) at 4 kW and 20.4 A, it differs in control interface — four digital inputs plus an analog input for speed reference via 0–10 V or 4–20 mA signal, with no fieldbus port.

Why choose hardwired I/O at 4 kW?

This variant is the direct fit when the conveyor control architecture is built around a PLC with centralized I/O racks and dedicated analog output modules. The drive receives a run command and an analog speed setpoint over discrete wiring — no Ethernet cable to the drive, no network switch port consumed, no PROFINET device name to assign. For brownfield conveyor upgrades where the cable tray already carries multi-core signal cables alongside the motor leads, switching to fieldbus would mean pulling new Ethernet cable. Hardwired I/O keeps the electrical installation unchanged.

Cooling at the FSB power limit

At 4 kW, the FSB frame transitions from natural convection to forced-air cooling. An internal fan draws approximately 510 mA from the 24 V DC control supply, roughly double the consumption of its fanless 2.2 kW and 3 kW FSB counterparts. This is the unavoidable trade-off for extracting 4 kW from the same 425 mm housing — and the reason the 4 kW FSB weighs and sounds slightly different from the smaller models it shares a frame with.
