Product Description
The MC3-FRUIT is a dedicated fruit storage controller by VDH Products that orchestrates every variable in a cold storage warehouse: temperature, humidity, ventilation, CO₂ concentration, and defrost cycles. It manages up to 5 independent storage cells from a single unit, with each cell running its own 3-phase program — cool-down after harvest, long-term storage maintenance, and standby — while coordinating compressor capacity across the entire facility to prevent electrical demand spikes.
How does the MC3-FRUIT coordinate multiple storage cells?
Each of the 5 cells operates autonomously through its cool-store-standby cycle with independent set points, but the controller optimizes across all cells simultaneously. Store groups limit the number of compressors starting at once; cool groups allocate maximum cooling capacity where it is needed most. The three defrost methods — off-cycle (fans only), electrical, and hotgas — can be assigned per evaporator. Up to 8 evaporators per cell gives the controller reach into large warehouse installations. Ethernet networking links over 100 MC3 controllers to a central VASP server for browser-based and smartphone monitoring, alarm handling, and batch management from any location.
