• Autotuning PID + Fuzzy Logic: The primary output (OUT1) features an autotuning PID algorithm enhanced by a fuzzy logic function. This automatically determines the optimal P, I, and D parameters during initial start-up, eliminating manual tuning while ensuring a fast process response with minimal overshoot. The PID autotuning can be activated on-demand.
• Multi-Output Control: Three independent ON/OFF outputs (configurable as relay or SSR) can be assigned to control heaters, coolers, humidifiers, or dehumidifiers. Each output is configurable for either heating/humidifying or cooling/drying action with separate hysteresis bands, enabling precise control of multiple devices within a single enclosure.
• Analog Output Flexibility: A standard 0/4-20 mA (or optional 0/2-10 V) analog output can operate in either constant-control mode (directly driving a proportional actuator) or retransmission mode (passing selected measurement values to an external PLC, DCS, or data logger). The 12-bit resolution ensures smooth, high-accuracy signal transmission.

• Rugged IP65 Enclosure: The AR247 is housed in a polycarbonate, wall-mounted enclosure that meets IP65 standards for water and dust ingress protection. • Flexible Probe Options: Four probe variants are available: integrated with the housing (AR247/1), external on a 1.5m cable (AR247/2), external in a box housing (AR247/3), or mounted on a stainless steel tube (AR247/L150 or L250). The external probes allow the controller to monitor conditions at a distance or within ducts and chambers.
• Dual LED Display: Two 3-digit, 14mm-high LED displays with adjustable brightness provide clear, simultaneous readouts of relative humidity (upper) and temperature or calculated values (lower). • RS-485 Communication (Modbus RTU): An optional galvanically isolated RS-485 interface enables integration with SCADA, BMS, or PLC systems via the standard Modbus RTU protocol. • ARsoft-LOG Software: When combined with the RS-485 interface or a dedicated programmer, APLISENS' free ARsoft-LOG PC software allows users to view live measurements, configure single or multiple controllers, and quickly duplicate parameter sets across devices. • Calculated Values & Multi-Function Inputs: The AR247 can calculate and display useful derived values such as dew point, frost point, and absolute humidity.
