What It Actually Does
This is an end clamp, sometimes called a retaining clip or end stop. It mounts directly onto the TS35 DIN rail (35 mm width, 7.5 mm height, per EN 60715). Once secured, it blocks the rail channel, stopping any device from sliding past. One clamp at each end of a populated rail section keeps the entire assembly locked in place. Without end clamps, devices can shift over time, potentially losing electrical contact or causing mechanical stress on busbars and wiring.

For long rail sections, additional clamps may be installed at intermediate points to prevent bowing or to segment the rail into functional groups.
