What communication protocols does the V2 Series offer?

The V2 Series spans four communication variants: RS232 (UIM241xx) at up to 115,200 bps with automatic host baud-rate detection and ASCII command set; CAN 2.0B (UIM242xx) at 1 Mbps supporting up to 100 nodes on a single differential bus; analog voltage control (UIM243xx) via onboard trimmer, external potentiometer, or 0–5 V input with auto-run capability; and parallel pulse/direction (UIM24002) for conventional step/direction controllers.

How does the miniature design simplify integration?

Each driver measures just 42.3 × 42.3 × 13.5 mm in a die-cast aluminum enclosure and flanged for direct mounting onto the rear of NEMA stepper motors — no separate DIN rail panel, no interconnecting cables, no extra enclosure. The DSP microprocessor (64-bit calculation precision) handles S-curve acceleration, absolute position counting, and 12 real-time sensor events with 5 programmable actions — reducing the host controller's processing burden.

Which motor sizes are compatible?

The V2 Series drives 2-phase hybrid stepper motors from NEMA 17 through NEMA 110, with phase current ranging from 0.5 A to 8 A depending on the variant. Supply voltage spans 10–40 VDC. Micro-stepping resolution is configurable from full-step down to 1/16, with PWM constant-current control via dual full H-bridge topology for smooth low-speed motion and minimal resonance.
