A residual current circuit breaker with overload – RCBO – combines earth‑leakage protection and line protection in a single 2‑module device. The 5SV1316-6KK16 is a 16 A, 30 mA Type A unit with C‑curve tripping, built for socket‑outlet circuits and lighting in residential and commercial boards. It detects AC and pulsating DC leakage currents and disconnects the circuit within 100 ms at rated residual current, meeting the personnel‑protection requirements of IEC/EN 61009‑1.

Protection in One Device

• Three protections, one module pair: the RCBO covers overload (thermal), short‑circuit (magnetic, C‑curve) and earth‑leakage (30 mA Type A) without needing a separate MCB and RCD. This saves one module width and reduces wiring points.
• Type A residual current detection: responds to sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC fault currents, as produced by rectifiers in washing machines, LED drivers and consumer electronics. Type A is required by many national wiring codes for general socket‑outlet circuits.
• C‑curve magnetic trip (5–10×In): avoids nuisance tripping from inrush currents of LED lighting, small motors and electronic power supplies, while still providing fast short‑circuit clearance.

Installation and Handling

• 2‑module width (36 mm): fits standard 35 mm DIN rail in distribution boards. The compact 1P+N design switches both the phase and the neutral conductor, providing complete isolation on tripping.
