Product Description

The Basler blaze-101 is an industrial-grade 3D camera that uses pulsed Time-of-Flight technology with a Sony DepthSense IMX556 sensor to generate real-time 3D point clouds and 2D intensity images. Operating at 940 nm with Class 1 laser safety, it is daylight-robust and suited for both indoor factory floors and outdoor logistics environments. The camera streams depth maps, intensity images, and confidence maps simultaneously over a GigE Vision interface, supported by Basler's pylon SDK with C++, C#, and Python bindings.

How does the blaze-101 handle real-world industrial environments?

The IP67-rated fanless housing, 0–50 °C operating range, and M12 industrial connectors enable direct deployment in dusty, wet, and vibration-prone production areas without additional enclosures. Multi-camera operation is supported through PTP (IEEE 1588) synchronization or Basler's Multi-Camera Channel, allowing multiple blaze-101 units to operate in the same space without mutual interference — a critical capability for multi-sided palletizing inspection and robot guidance cells.

What 3D data outputs does it provide?

The camera outputs Coord3D_C16 depth maps, Mono16 intensity images, and Confidence16 maps via the GenICam-compliant GigE Vision transport layer. Point cloud data uses the Coord3D_ABC32f format. The HDR mode combines two exposures for scenes with both high and low reflectivity objects. With sub-85 ms latency and ±5 mm typical accuracy across a 0.5–5.5 m range, the blaze-101 is suited to robotic pick-and-place, carton dimensioning, automated guided vehicle obstacle detection, and inline quality inspection of formed or cast parts.
