Product Description
The Time Electronics 5077 Multifunction Power Calibrator can be used as a workload calibrator for verification of electrical measurement devices, or as a programmable source in an automated test rig for meter testing. Its wide voltage and current ranges enable verification of power meters on either the primary side of CT/VT or directly connected to the meter (secondary side).
For power calibration, the 5077 provides voltage from 2 mV to 1050 V and current from 2 mA to 22 A. Frequency is adjustable from 40 to 500 Hz, and phase angle can be set ±90.0° in 0.1° steps. Power factor (PF) can be set in steps of 0.01. The output can be displayed as VA or Watts, with capability up to 23 kVA or 23 kW single-phase.
The instrument features RS-232, USB, and GPIB interfaces for connectivity. It is supplied with Windows-based virtual control software, allowing full control from a PC. EasyCal calibration software is available as an option for automated testing and calibration management.
Applications include verification of watt meters, power meters, and energy measurement devices in laboratory, manufacturing, and R&D environments. The 5077 is suitable for both manual and automated test systems requiring precise AC power calibration.
