Product Description
The KANTO SEIKI KMA series is a family of water-type mold temperature controllers for injection molding, die casting, and plastics processing machinery. By circulating temperature-regulated water through mold cooling channels, the KMA maintains precise tool surface temperatures — critical for part quality, cycle time consistency, and dimensional stability.
What are the three sub-series and how do they differ?

All three share the same water-circulation architecture: a built-in pump, cooling coil in the circulation loop, and Rc1/2 connections for both circulation water and cooling water supply. Selection depends on whether the process requires only heating (ambient-temp molds), only cooling (continuous hot-run processes), or both (variable thermal loads).
How does the temperature control loop work?
Water circulates in a closed loop from the controller to the mold and back. The KMA-H heats the circulating water electrically and uses an external cooling water source (≥0.2 MPa, 20–30°C) through an internal heat exchanger to trim temperature when needed. The KMA-R and KMA-RH use onboard refrigeration with refrigerant gas circulating through cooling coils in the water loop. A special circuit-switching design ensures stable temperature response during cooling, heating, and transition phases. The circulation pump delivers approximately 0.25 MPa at 50 L/min — sufficient to overcome pressure drop through typical mold cooling channels and maintain turbulent flow for efficient heat transfer.
