The ESM-4435 is a 1/16 DIN universal input PID process controller from EMKO Elektronik, a Turkish automation manufacturer. What tuning methods does it support?

The ESM-4435 offers both auto-tune (limit cycle method) and self-tune (step response method) for automatic PID coefficient calculation. The self-tune function triggers on the first setpoint change after power-up, measuring the process response to determine optimal P, I, and D values without sustained oscillation. Manual/automatic mode switching includes bumpless transfer, preventing output disturbance when the operator takes manual control.

What alarm and output configurations are available?

Three independent 5A SPDT relay outputs can be configured as control outputs (heating, cooling) or alarm outputs with deviation band, deviation range, or absolute value triggering. Each alarm supports configurable hysteresis, on/off delay timers, and latching or non-latching operation. An optional isolated analog output provides 0/4-20mA or 0/2-10V for remote indication or retransmission to SCADA and PLC systems.
