Product Description
The Pixsys ATR444 is a dual-loop PID controller in the standard 1/8 DIN panel-mount format (48 × 96 mm). It combines universal analog input capability with flexible output configuration — relay, SSR drive, and analog — making it adaptable to temperature, pressure, flow, and level control across a wide range of industrial processes.
What input types does the ATR444 support?
One or two universal 16-bit analog inputs accept thermocouples (K, S, R, J, T, N, B with automatic cold-junction compensation), RTDs (PT100, PT500, PT1000, Ni100), thermistors (PTC1K, NTC10K), voltage (0–10V, 0–60mV), current (0/4–20mA), and potentiometers (1–150 kΩ). Accuracy is ±0.2% F.S. ±1 digit for thermocouple and RTD inputs, ±0.5% F.S. ±1 digit for voltage and current. Sampling time is programmable down to 2.1 ms (470 Hz). Up to 4 PNP digital inputs and 1–2 current transformer inputs (50 mA) for loop break alarm complete the input side.
How is the controller programmed and configured?
The ATR444 offers three programming paths: NFC wireless configuration via the MyPixsys smartphone app (Android/iOS), USB connection to a PC running MyPixsysLab software, and front-panel programming through 8 keys with customizable single-key functions. The display uses a dual-colour layout with 4-digit (0.63″), 5-digit (0.39″), and 5-digit (0.33″) readouts plus a bar graph for at-a-glance process visualization. For IIoT integration, the controller connects to the Pixsys CNV580 gateway for remote monitoring via the PixsysGuard cloud platform. RS485 Modbus RTU (galvanically isolated, up to 115,200 Baud) is available on -T suffix models.
What control functions are built in?
Control algorithms include ON-OFF with hysteresis, P, PI, PD (time proportional), PID, and dual PID for independent heating/cooling loop control. A 12-segment-per-step profile programmer supports ramp/soak cycles with end-of-step recovery and wait functions. Motorized valve logic provides open/close positioning without a separate positioner. Soft-start can follow a rising gradient (°/hour) or a fixed output percentage. Automatic dynamic smart tuning simplifies PID commissioning, while password-protected parameter locks prevent unauthorized changes.
