The Leistritz L2NG is a twin-screw, single-volute, self-priming positive-displacement pump for low-pressure service. It is the standard configuration in the L2 range, used where slightly abrasive or corrosive, low-to-high-viscosity fluids must be moved continuously.

Why does it survive cold slugs that break gear pumps?

When asphalt arrives below spec, a gear pumpu2019s meshing teeth jam and shear on the cold plug. The L2NGu2019s screw profile and internal porting pass cold slugs without stressing the rotating elements, and its integral relief valve recirculates asphalt internally instead of letting pressure spike and break a shaft.
