The ICON Truflo MF1000 In-Line Magnetic Flow Meter Sensor is a microprocessor-based flow transmitter engineered for high performance, easy installation, commissioning, and maintenance. The transmitter is robust, cost-effective, and achieves a measuring accuracy of ±0.5% of the flow rate with 0.1% repeatability .

The sensor features all-welded construction, providing a hermetic seal that protects against moisture and other contaminants. The sealed housing ensures maximum reliability by protecting all internal components and wiring from even the most aggressive environments. The standard PTFE Teflon liner offers excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. Available with Hastelloy C electrodes, the meter is suitable for a wide range of conductive liquids .

The MF1000 series consists of a sensor and converter. The measuring tube contains magnet exciting coils. The converter powers the coils to generate a magnetic field within the tube. Electrodes fixed in the inner-wall detect the induced electromotive force, which is then processed by the converter. The full port design results in no pressure drop, and the absence of moving parts eliminates clogging issues .

Applications include liquid chemical flow measurement, filtration systems, water and wastewater monitoring, industrial chemical distribution, process chemical skids, liquid consumption monitoring, and discharge verification. The meter is available in sizes from 1/2 to 14 inches with NEMA 4X and IP68 protection .
