Product Description

The Fluke 378 FC True RMS clamp meter uses FieldSense™ technology to enable non-contact voltage and current measurement without touching live conductors. By clipping the black test lead to ground and placing the jaw around the conductor, accurate voltage and current values are obtained safely and quickly.

The meter measures up to 1000V and 1000A in both AC and DC modes through its 34 mm jaw. The included iFlex flexible current probe extends AC current measurement capability to 2500A, allowing access to large conductors in tight spaces. AC current accuracy through the jaw is 2% ±5 digits (10-100 Hz) and 2.5% ±5 digits (100-500 Hz), while the iFlex probe provides 3% ±5 digits accuracy across 5-500 Hz.

A built-in power quality (PQ) function automatically detects issues related to current, voltage, power factor, or combinations thereof. During FieldSense measurements, the 378 FC displays these power quality conditions, helping technicians quickly determine whether problems originate upstream in the supply or downstream in connected equipment. Full three-phase values including phase-to-ground, phase-to-phase, and phase rotation are calculated and viewable on the meter, smartphone, and cloud via Fluke Connect software.

Additional measurement functions include resistance to 60 kΩ, capacitance to 1000 μF, and frequency. The dual-readout display illuminates green when a stable FieldSense measurement is achieved, and Visual Continuity provides a bright green screen for easy detection in noisy environments. The magnetic TPAK hanging kit allows versatile mounting on steel cabinets, pipes, or nails.

As part of the Fluke Connect wireless family, the 378 FC enables remote logging, trending, and monitoring to pinpoint intermittent faults, with wireless data transmission and report generation directly from the field. The kit includes the meter, iFlex probe (48 cm), TL224 test leads, TP175 TwistGuard™ probes, AC285 grounding clip, TPAK magnetic hanging kit, premium carrying case, and quick reference guide. Safety ratings are CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V with IP30 ingress protection.
