The Fluke 772 Milliamp Process Clamp Meter is designed for troubleshooting 4-20 mA control loops without breaking the circuit. Its remote jaw, connected via extension cable, enables in-circuit measurement while the meter provides sourcing, simulation, and loop power capabilities .

The 772 measures mA via clamp (0-20.99 mA with 0.2% accuracy, 21.0-100.0 mA with 1% accuracy) and via test jacks (0-24 mA with 0.2% accuracy). It sources and simulates 0-24 mA with 0.2% accuracy, and provides 24V loop power for transmitter testing. A switchable 250 Ω HART resistor enables communication with smart transmitters .

The detachable clamp features a measurement spotlight LED to help locate mA signal wires in dark control panels. The meter can simultaneously measure mA in-circuit via the clamp while sourcing mA via the test leads, enhancing troubleshooting efficiency. Electronic zero adjustment eliminates offset errors .

Other features include data hold, percentage span display (0-100%), auto power off, and backlight. The meter ships with TL75 test leads, AC72 detachable clip, TL940 mini hook test leads, soft carrying case, and four AA batteries .
