The DH-Budenberg CPB5600DP is a precision deadweight tester designed for testing, adjustment, and calibration of pressure measuring instruments in factories, calibration labs, and on-site. It utilizes a precisely manufactured piston-cylinder system onto which a mass load is applied to generate individual test points. The direct measurement of pressure (p = F/A) and use of high-quality materials enable very small measurement uncertainty with excellent long-term stability.

Both piston and cylinder are manufactured from tungsten carbide. This material pairing has very low pressure and temperature coefficients of expansion, resulting in excellent linearity of the effective area and very high accuracy. Integrated over-pressure protection prevents the piston from being forced out vertically, avoiding damage to the piston-cylinder system if masses are removed under pressure.
