Product Description

The Dwyer IEF Series insertion electromagnetic flow transmitter accurately and reliably measures fluid velocity of compatible clean or dirty non-coating, conductive liquids. One unit is adjustable to fit pipe sizes from 4 to 36 inches, simplifying inventory and selection. It provides several continuous signal outputs including analog, pulse/frequency, and alarm outputs .

The transmitter features selectable BACnet MS/TP or Modbus RTU communications protocol over 2-wire RS-485, in addition to the standard outputs. Standard accuracy is ±1% full-scale. An optional high accuracy version provides ±0.5% of reading at calibrated velocity, ±1% of reading from 2 to 20 ft/s, and ±0.02 ft/s accuracy at velocities below 2 ft/s, making it suitable for more demanding applications .

Field configuration can be done via the integral LCD (optional) or remote setup display. The configuration flexibility accommodates a variety of applications with one model through multiple display options including pipe size, pipe material, liquid type, analog output, pulse/frequency output, alarm outputs, communication outputs, damping, and calibration factor .

Wetted materials include 316SS for the body shaft/fitting and electrodes, with a silicon O-ring. The unit is NSF certified. Common applications include boiler feed water, chilled water, open and closed loop condenser water, irrigation systems, municipal water distribution, process and coolant flow, ground water remediation, chemical processing, pump protection, wastewater, and mining .
