The Panametrics PanaFlow XMT1000 is a cost-effective ultrasonic flow transmitter that builds on decades of flow expertise and the reliable performance of its predecessor, the XMT868i . It offers state-of-the-art flow measurement capability in a rugged, locally-mounted or remote-mounted transmitter certified for use in hazardous areas . It brings improved accuracy, configurable I/O, and multiple ultrasonic transducer path options .

The XMT1000 shares all the advantages of ultrasonic flow measurement, including no moving parts to wear, no maintenance requirement, no pressure drop, and no drift or required periodic calibration. Its on-board digital signal processor (DSP) provides proprietary digital signal coding and correlation detection, automatic adjustment to changing fluid properties, and dynamically-configured operating software to simplify programming .

The transmitter covers pipe sizes from 1 to 76 inches (25 to 1930mm) and larger, with a bidirectional flow range of -40 to 40 ft/s (-12.2 to 12.2 m/s). It offers excellent repeatability of ±0.1% to 0.3% of reading. Standard I/O includes one isolated 4-20 mA output and one additional configurable pulse or frequency output. It is certified for use in hazardous locations with US/CAN Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, D; Class I, Zone 1, Ex d IIC T6; and ATEX/IECEx Ex d IIC T6 certifications .
