Product Description

The CHINO LH100 series is a compact pipe temperature controller designed for direct mounting on pipes or DIN rails in industrial piping applications. The controller integrates an SSR (Triac, zero-cross switching) directly into its slim W40×H100×D100 mm body, eliminating separate SSR modules, reducing wiring, and saving control panel space. With 0.1-second sampling and control cycle, push-in wire connectors, and standard RS-485 communication, the LH100 series targets applications requiring fast, reliable piping temperature control with minimum installation complexity.

Built-in SSR & Direct Pipe/DIN Rail Mounting

  • Integrated Triac SSR (7 A): The controller contains a zero-cross Triac AC switch rated for 7 A (with ambient temperature derating). This eliminates the need for an external solid-state relay, reducing component count and wiring inside the control panel.
  • Push-in Wire Connectors: Detachable push-in connectors support pre-wiring followed by one-time connection, reducing on-site wiring time. The connectors can be removed without tools for maintenance.
  • Dual Mounting: The controller can be clamped directly onto a pipe (vertical or horizontal) for pipe heating jacket control, or mounted onto a 35 mm DIN rail inside a control panel for general temperature control applications.

0.1-Second Control Cycle & PID Regulation

  • Fast Sampling & Control: Both input sampling and control output refresh at approximately 0.1 seconds—ten times faster than typical industrial temperature controllers. This rapid response is essential for pipe heating applications where the thermal mass is small and temperature changes can occur quickly.
  • PID Control with Configurable Pulse Cycle: PID algorithm with adjustable pulse cycle from 0.5 to 180 seconds allows matching the control output timing to the thermal response of the pipe and heating jacket.
  • Accuracy: ±0.2% of full scale ±1 digit across the 0–800 °C measuring range, with Pt100 RTD and Type K or J thermocouple inputs selectable. Reference junction compensation accuracy is ±2 °C.

RS-485 Communication, Digital I/O & Software

  • Standard RS-485: All models include RS-485 communication as standard, enabling centralized temperature monitoring, setpoint adjustment, and data collection from a host PLC, graphic panel, or SCADA system.
  • Digital Input & Event Output: One digital input (dry contact or open collector) supports AUTO/MANUAL切换, RUN/READY selection, and internal relay ON/OFF. One event output (24 V DC 50 mA) provides absolute alarm, deviation alarm, control loop error alarm, or FAIL alarm signals.
  • LH Setting Software: A dedicated PC software package (downloadable from CHINO website) enables parameter configuration via USB engineering cable (RZ-EC6). All parameters—including PID constants, alarm thresholds, and communication settings—can be set from the PC and uploaded to the controller.
  • Optional EtherCAT: Pairing with the LH700 EtherCAT converter provides 100 Mbps EtherCAT slave capability with CoE and FoE protocol support, suitable for high-speed automation networks.

Models — LH100 (Without Display) vs. LH110 (With Display)

  • LH100-NN: Without setting display unit. Front LED indicates power, communication, and event output status. All parameter settings performed via RS-485 communication or LH setting software. Ideal for embedded applications where the controller is accessed remotely.
  • LH110-NN: With setting display unit. The display can be rotated 90°, allowing easy reading in both horizontal and vertical mounting orientations. Parameters can be set and checked directly on the controller.
  • LH101-NN / LH111-NN: Moisture-proof versions (internal PCB conformal coating) of LH100 and LH110 respectively, for high-humidity environments.

Safety & International Standards

  • Built-in Fuse and Relay: An internal fuse protects against high current during load short-circuit; a built-in relay cuts off the load power supply when equipment abnormality is detected. The fuse is factory-replaceable only, ensuring correct replacement specifications.
  • International Certifications: The LH100 series complies with CE/UKCA marking and UL certification requirements for global deployment in industrial equipment.
