Product Description

How does the HC15-S control hot runner temperature?

The HC15-S reads J or K thermocouple input and applies zero-cross or phase-angle output switching to maintain setpoint temperature with ±0.1% F.S. accuracy across a 0–450°C range. Soft-start and boost functions protect heaters during power-up and accelerate initial heat-up respectively. In the event of thermocouple failure, the module automatically switches to manual mode at a preset output percentage to prevent production interruption.

Which hot runner systems is the HC15-S compatible with?

The HC15-S uses an insert-style form factor compatible with mainstream hot runner control mainframes — including DME, Athena, IMS, MCS, Husky, INCOE, and FastHeat. This cross-brand interchangeability allows retrofitting existing multi-zone systems without replacing the entire control infrastructure.

How are multi-zone configurations built?

Individual HC15-S modules plug into a master station supporting 1–24 zones (expandable to 48 zones). The master station accepts 380 V three-phase power as standard, with 240 V three-phase or single-phase options available. Each 15A zone operates independently with its own setpoint, alarm thresholds, and control mode — configurable via the module's onboard display or RS485 host communication.
