TERMYA digitale temperature controller is a high/mid-range programmable PID temperature controller designed for complex industrial heating and cooling processes. It combines universal input, multiple control algorithms, Ethernet communication, and a suite of safety and diagnostic features into a panel-mount or DIN-rail device suitable for simple single-loop regulation up to complex cascade, servo, and multi-loop applications.

Flexible Control and Configuration

  • Multiple Control Algorithms: The controller offers configurable regulation types including ON/OFF, PD, PID, DPID (Dual PID), and Fuzzy logic. Autotuning automatically optimizes PID parameters for the connected thermal load, and ramps and programs can be set for temperature profiling.
  • Complex Control Loops: Supports 2-3 point control (heating and cooling), continuous, positioner, servo, and ratio control for advanced process automation. Multi-loop programming allows the device to execute several independent or interlinked control tasks simultaneously.

Universal Inputs, Outputs, and Communication

  • Universal Input: Accepts thermocouples (TC), resistance thermometers (RTD), and digital control signals, allowing one device to be used across different sensor types and applications.
  • Flexible Outputs: Configurable as 0/4-20 mA continuous, logic, or relay outputs to drive final control elements such as contactors, solid-state relays, or proportional valves.
  • Ethernet and Fieldbus Communication: Integrates into modern industrial networks with support for Ethernet, RS-422/485, Modbus RTU, Profibus-DP, Canbus, Interbus, and TTL serial communication. This enables remote monitoring, setpoint changes, and data logging from a PLC, SCADA, or building management system.

Built-in Safety and Diagnostics

  • Sensor Break Monitoring: Absolute and relative alarm outputs with sensor break detection protect the process in the event of a thermocouple or RTD failure. Alarms can trigger relay outputs for immediate shutdown or operator notification.
  • Soft Start Function: When enabled, soft start gradually ramps output power from zero to the required level, reducing thermal shock on heating elements and preventing inrush current spikes.
  • External Set Point: Accepts a 4-20 mA signal from an external device (e.g., a PLC, potentiometer, or pressure sensor) for dynamic setpoint adjustment in cascade control applications.
