The Rosemount 3051SFC Series compact orifice flow meter is designed for closed loop control and general purpose monitoring applications. By integrating the 3051S pressure transmitter with the 405 Compact Orifice primary element, Rosemount has created a high performance, direct mount differential pressure flow meter that lowers installed cost by eliminating the need for fittings, impulse tubing, valves, adapters and manifolds. The complete system arrives as a single device packaged together for simplified installation.

The 3051SFC is ideal for volumetric measurement of relatively clean liquids, delivering repeatable measurements accurate to ±0.80% of volumetric rate with 8:1 flow turndown. A centering mechanism helps eliminate improper installation errors that can significantly impact readings. The meter is suitable for liquid, gas, and steam applications in pipe sizes from ½ to 12 inches.

The integrated 3051S multivariable transmitter enables pressure, temperature, and fully compensated mass and energy flow measurements. It is fully scalable with user-customizable performance, functionality, diagnostics, and connection systems. Advanced software includes 4-20mA HART or FOUNDATION fieldbus communication, user configured flow units, low flow cut-off, and process alerts for pressure and temperature.

The 405 Compact Orifice primary element is available in two styles: Conditioning (405C) for applications with limited pipe run, requiring only 2 pipe diameters from upstream disturbances and delivering ±0.5% accuracy; and Standard for general applications. This integrated solution reduces straight pipe requirements and provides direct mounting capability for simplified installation.
