Unlike the unshielded 4‑core power jumpers that distribute 24 V between modules, this cable uses a 2Y(ST)CY construction — aluminium‑clad foil over each pair plus a tinned‑copper braid overall — to keep communication free from electromagnetic interference on the factory floor. It carries the ET‑Connection data signal between two M8 ports over 1 m, with IP65/67 sealing maintained as long as both connectors are properly screwed down.
