The 6SL3520-1XM01-5AB0 delivers 1.5 kW in the G115D FSA frame with the AB-suffix enhanced I/O — the mid-tier 1.5 kW configuration for decentralized drives that need more than base I/O but do not require PROFINET. Electrically identical to the 5AF0 at 4.1 A continuous (8.2 A peak), it provides the same motor control with expanded hardwired connectivity. The 1XM FSA enclosure (380 × 216 × 129 mm) mounts directly on the machine frame with IP65/IP66 protection.

The AB enhanced configuration adds digital and analog I/O channels plus an additional STO interface beyond the AA base variant — suited for machines where sensors, actuators, and safety devices connect directly to the drive. For PROFINET-based architectures, the AF variant provides the network interface; for hardwired control with higher I/O density, the AB variant is the target. Standard G115D features apply: integrated C2 EMC filter, internal braking chopper, STO SIL 2, SAM web-server commissioning, and natural-convection cooling.
