The 6SL3520-1XM01-5AA0 delivers 1.5 kW in the G115D FSA frame with the AA-suffix base I/O — the essential-configuration 1.5 kW drive for cost-sensitive applications. Electrically identical to the 5AB0 at 4.1 A continuous (8.2 A peak), it provides the same motor control in a leaner I/O package. The 1XM FSA enclosure (380 × 216 × 129 mm) mounts directly on the machine frame with IP65/IP66 protection and natural-convection cooling.

The AA base configuration covers the core decentralized drive needs: digital I/O for start/stop and direction control, one STO channel, and the integrated C2 EMC filter. For applications needing additional I/O channels or expanded safety interfaces, the AB enhanced variant adds those — but when the machine's control architecture already handles sensor feedback and safety logic upstream, the AA variant avoids paying for unused I/O.
