Product Description
The KROHNE OPTIFLEX 6200 Level Transmitter is a 2-wire guided radar level transmitter based on the Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology. It is designed for the level measurement of solids in bulk storage and other silos up to a height of 40 m / 131.2 ft. The single rod or single cable probes withstand high traction loads, making the level transmitter suitable for use in a wide range of applications with solids of different grain sizes – from fly ash and cement to gypsum and plastic granulates to tobacco and starch.
The OPTIFLEX 6200 uses Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology: low-energy electromagnetic pulses are guided along the probe. When the pulse reaches the product surface, part of the energy is reflected back. The instrument measures the time of flight and converts it into distance, providing continuous level measurement even in dusty atmospheres and with product buildup on the probe.
The OPTIFLEX 6200 is also suitable for food industry applications including milk powder, sugar, chocolate, and coffee powder, where its insensitivity to dust and deposit buildup ensures reliable measurement.
